Un roi bien venu


As always, apologies for my hideous French.

That’s it, that’s the story of William’s coronation. His guards get spooked by the foreign shouting from Westminster Abbey, and take the only logical action available to them: they set the surrounding houses on fire. The congregation flees the church, and only William and some terrified clergy remain behind, because the king needs consecrating, and he needs it NOW, never mind all that smoke drifting in.
